MiniHooves Mountain Farm is a 38 acre farm located in the beautiful mountains of east Tennessee at the North Carolina line. Here we raise Nigerian Dwarf, Oberhasli, and Nubian goats, along with Miniature Donkeys and Miniature Mules. We bought this abandoned Moonshiners farm in 1999 for our dogs. We have rescued several abused or abandoned dogs and wanted a place away from people where our dogs could be dogs. Well, our farm has grown faster and larger than we had planned. We had 10 dogs but lost one very spoiled Black & Tan Coon hound in 2008 to illness. One day we saw Donkeys for sale in the local paper so we just wanted to go look at them. Well, we came home with one. Soon found out that you need at least two of these animals. Now we have several and have started raising them. Then we went to, just look, at some Nubian goats and came home with two. Then we went to, just look, at some Nigerian Dwarf goats and came home with two and later got more. Then we went to, just look, at some Oberhasli goats and came home with six. Our farm keeps growing as we now make and sell Goats Milk Soap. As we get more organized with our farm we plan to raise some of the old heritage breeds of chickens, turkeys, ducks, and maybe pigs.
